Vancouver Island Gospel & World Music Choir
VIGWM choir is an ecumenical/community choir with singers from throughout the central island area directed by BRIAN TATE. The choir is a cooperative effort between Knox United Church (Parksville, BC) and Musiklus with administration by Ron Klusmeier, Christina Bogucki, and Phyllis Thompson.
BRIAN TATE is an award-winning composer, musician, and educator. Brian lives in historic Strathcona, Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood, with his wife Patricia and their cat Abby. Friend-kin-ship with Ron Klusmeier led to the formation of the VIGWM Choir and Brian’s now regular journeys to Vancouver Island.
