Hold the Child Gently” Cantata replaces “God’s Gentle Gift”, a 1990 Christmas Cantata by Walter Farquharson and Ron Klusmeier. Walter and Ron had a desire to rewrite the original cantata with an eye toward bringing the message based on the ‘traditional’ Christmas story more poignantly into our ‘here and now”. The overall theme of this work is that “God takes flesh among us — again and again”.
The Cantata is a work which may be presented in its entirety, in portions, or selections may be used as individual anthems. It is packaged as a photocopy resource *(price of work includes permission to photocopy the music for choir use) and includes both an SATB version and SAB version; both with optional descant parts, ‘C’ instrument parts, Narration and Score.
