Lyrics

Daughter Mary, saying yes
to the angel’s visitation,
no disgrace shall cloud your face.
Thrill us with your expectation.
As in heaven, so on earth,
God will work salvation,
as the child you bring to birth,
checks the wealthy, feeds the poor,
ends all domination.

Mother Mary, crying no
at your son’s disruptive vision,
he must roam away from home,
breaking family cohesion.
Planting heaven here on earth,
God’s new invitation
brings the outcasts to rebirth,
lifts the humble, shifts the proud,
ending domination.

Sister Mary, pierced and torn,
as the child your arms protected,
chokes and dies before your eyes,
trust again the unexpected.
Love has broken free on earth!
Tiers of domination
tumble as the Spirit’s mirth,
weaving friendship, sparking hope,
sings of new creation.
