Lyrics:

Holy One, O Holy One,
your tender love creatively
has called to be all that has life.
Holy One.

Holy One, O Holy One,
we cannot know the nature of
the days ahead, the pains and joys.
Holy One.

Holy One, O Holy One,
while life is ours we’d blessing take,
we’d blessing give so offer praise.
Holy One.

Author / Composer Comments

This text was originally written to be used as a wedding hymn. Verses 2 & 4 are especially appropriate for marriage services. However, by omitting these two verses and using verses 1, 3, & 5 only, other possibilities are opened. For convenience, we have prepared versions of each (this one with verses 1, 3, & 5 only; another with all five verses).
