Alive, Alive! The powers of evil are put to flight.
The stars and planets sing their song,
a hymn of praise, of joy and light.
All creatures of the earth may join
for newness flashes forth tonight.
The seers and prophets spoke their word:
sweet day of peace and justice clear.
The universe is charged to tell that,
glory-filled, the day comes near.
The heavens declare God’s glory now
in shimmering light and whispered sound.
Our Christ is found in humble place
and all of earth is hallowed ground.
